scrolling through 'iirachchuvadikaL', finally here is the topic I badly want to shout about. But I keep my anti-pacific fist from shooting words ;)
I don't see a reason why all our writers are dead against to the idea of intellectual activism at the time of mass suffering. yet these are the times we need to... ah well, i know this sounds like a piece of shit.
people should take a look at european school of thoughts and their functioning at the time of WW atrocities. Foucault and other guys can be linked to the very 'saakaadu' you are shedding tears about... I know what it feels like reading me telling all this blah-blah but after some years there will come a time. appa paarppam

i ain't against intellectual activism (IA).
However I am against
1. masquarading under the IA for relactant to say, "I am for excapism"... or "Is it my existentialism?") ;-)

2. Promoting IA for supporting the Military Activism of my side up while on the other side is correct with the facts/data even for my pea brain (No morally Right-Wrong arguement here), and more than anything

3. I can only show that I can be an Intellectual Activist with no way that I am going to set foot in the reality (here comes Johnny!!..me, myself and mine) ;-)

did you see this film pianist (adrian brody nadichcha padam, abt holocaust)??

no, but read enough review not to watch it. I do not want to watch any more Holocast-WWII movies

1. as they serve different purpose nowdays (try to defend anything Israel does in the name of what Jewish people had to go through under the horrible nazi regime)

2. contemporary reality shows me the first hand holocasts in my own backyard and everyone's own backyards. Why should we always revisit to WWII to get the picture, when similar genocides are taking blood baths in front of me. Sorry I am not that much of interested in literature and films as I were in one time (though I watch at least three/four movies per week ;-))

We use the literature and art for dual purposes:
1. To run from the reality without suffering much from guilty conscience (though conscience is a very much of a relative term)
2. They give us a face and acknowledgement from peers and would bes;-)
